May arrived rather quickly. But perhaps that's a good thing: April was National Poetry Month and it quite exhausted me! Finally, I have begun to write poetry again, so here you go:
After many years teaching writing with teens and then preparing new teachers, Carol Mikoda is now retired and writing much more poetry. Her work has appeared in New Feathers Anthology, Grief Becomes You, Capsule Stories, HOLYFLEA!, Children, Churches, & Daddies, and Acta Victoriana; she also has two chapbooks, While You Wait, and Wind and Water, Leaf and Lake; a third, Outside of Time, will be released by Kelsay Books in fall 2025. Her poem, "Jesus at the Pub," was nominated for Best of the Net and a Pushcart Prize. She lives with her partner near Seneca Lake in upstate New York. She has strong attachments to clouds, trees, and music.
